Football party

My sone decided that he wanted a football themed party for his 8th birthday so here is what I came up with.

His invitations
I saw this idea on a website a long time ago and loved it, but the subway art they offered was in a pdf file and I did not want to print it out at home so I made my own in photoshop and then put 4 on an 8x10 and had it printed at costco.
Here is the inside of it.

Here is the same subway art that I used on his invitations that I made in an 8x10 and again had printed at Costco.
For party favors I wanted to keep it simple but usable and what kid doesn't like candy? So I made these candy bar wrappers in photoshop. The back says Thanks for celebrating with me.

I got the small bottles of Gatorade and made labels, again in photoshop(might I suggest if you are going to print out lots of things in color that you make sure you have enough ink and not wait until the night before the party to print them)
I was able to find kooky pens at the dollar store that were footballs so I snagged those to put in the bags as well.
And then I embroidered bag tags with each of the boys' names on them that they can put on their backpack.
I put all the favors in these cute see through green bags and tied the football tags to them. They turned out so cute.
We took advantage of the unusual weather we have been having and let the boys play a game of football.

After we played a game of "don't eat the football team"  I found 9 different NFL team logos that I put on a page and printed out (kind of like a bingo board) Put an m&m on each square, then you have one person in the group go out of the room and the rest of the group picks one team that they don't want the person to "eat" . When the person comes back in they start eating the m&m's until they pick up the one the rest of the group decided on and the kids yell Don't eat...(what ever team they picked) then it is the next persons turn.

Some kids didn't get to eat one and some got to eat 8. The boys enjoyed it so much that each of them had two turns.

After the games we did presents and cake and ice cream.

Here is the subway art if you would like to use it feel free all I ask is that you link back to this post.
